Is your skin always flaky and dry? Well, the reason for that could be the lack of proper hydration. Much like our own bodies, the skin needs to be properly hydrated in order to maintain its suppleness and elasticity. This cannot be emphasized enough, actually. Most people tend to forget this and often end up with dry and acne prone skin.

So, what can a person do in order to get their skin aptly hydrated? Well, everybody could sure use a good hydrating cream. Regardless of your gender or your skin type, this is very important to the health of your skin cells. Keep in mind that our body is basically 70% water and as such, hydration is a must. After all, you wouldn’t want to end up looking like a dried up prune, right?

To keep your skin as hydrated as possible, you would need to find the best cream that suits your needs perfectly. There are quite a number of them available out there and such, this wont be an easy task. The best thing to do is to talk to your dermatologist about it as they would be very capable of recommending a good product for you and your skin type.

For women, it is best to use this cream before your apply your make-up. This is because make-up would actually dry your skin. You should also use the cream after make-up removal in order to maximize its effects. For men, these creams should be used after a shave. This is because shaving can leave your skin irritated and harsh thus you would need something that’s capable of restoring is smoothness. A good cream would be able to do just that.

So go on, it is a very small investment compared to the benefits that you will get in return. After all, when it comes to making sure that you have healthy skin, you should take every precaution and protection that’s needed.

When it comes to using sun protection such as sun block, it should be a way of life. Yes, it might sound like a little much but do consider the fact that the sun’s harmful rays can do more than just give you a little sun burn. Unfortunately, not everyone really bothers to do it. In fact, only a small percentage of the population wears sunscreen and even fewer actually know how to choose and apply it correctly. If you are among those who are unconvinced as to the benefits of sunscreen, here’s a quick rundown that should help change your mind.

The Benefits

1.	Melanoma in children has been on a continuous rise in recent years. Surely, you wouldn’t want to risk your children’s health just because you feel like putting on sunscreen is too tedious a task. Just imagine them spending all day out in the sun, unprotected from its harmful UV rays. You wouldn’t want that, right?

2.	Skin Cancer. Yes, prolonged exposure to the sun’s UV rays can cause skin cancer. This is why people are encouraged to turn to fake tans instead of baking themselves out in the sun. Fake tans may not be the current trend du jour but it would definitely help you lower your chances of getting skin cancer. Now, increase that protection by using sunscreen.

How to choose the right SPF and its proper application

It is important to choose the highest SPF possible regardless of your skin color. Why? Because you would need all the protection you can get. Also, do make sure that your sun block contains UVA protection which is the most important factor here because it helps block out the UV rays of the sun.

It’s about time you started protecting yourselves and your family. After all, when it comes to making sure that they are healthy, you should never take any chances.

There are many different myths when it comes to the use of sun screen. The unfortunate thing is that these myths are often misleading, and as such, make people believe that they are protecting themselves properly when they really aren’t. Now, in order to make sure that every person is aptly protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays, here are two of the most popular sun block myths – debunked!

Myth 1: Sun block would provide you with total protection – Well, the truth is that there is no sun block or screen in existence that is capable of providing you with that kind of protection. The general idea here is that the higher the SPF, the better the protection. Basically, if you’re using SPF 15 then you’re 93% protected, SPF 30 means you’re 97% protected and SPF 50 – 60 means that you’re 98% protected. Now, getting the highest SPF might seem like the best idea here but do note of the fact that the higher the SPF, the higher levels of harsh chemicals it contains.

Myth 2: An SPF 60+ would provide you with double the protection of an SPF 30 sun block – This is certainly false and is also one of the major reasons as to why the FDA has decided to put a cap on the higher SPF’s. Between SPF 30 and SPF 60, there is about 1.6% in terms of difference when it comes to protection. This isn’t much considering the fact that the SPF 60 version can potentially put more toxins into your body.

Now that we have exposed the truth with regards to those sun screen myths, here a good tip when it comes to buying sun block. Always do your research. Sure, it might be just a bottle of lotion or cream but you’re still putting it on your skin and you expect it to protect you from the sun’s UV rays. That is what you’re paying for and as such, you would want to know if it’s genuinely safe for you to use.

The modern lifestyle consumes a lot of body energy, and the natural body processes are unable to produce enough energy to keep us going. We like eating too much of fast food, not eating enough natural foods, over-indulgence, using too many medicines, drugs, lack of proper exercise, excess anxiety and pollution etc. Asa result, our skin faces a constant barrage of chemicals everyday that strip the skin of its natural balance. The following are some simple home remedies help you to attain a clear, healthy and glowing complexion. These natural skincare tips will help you maintain a healthy and glowing skin.

Secrets To Naturally Beautiful Skin

Below are some simple 'secrets' to achieve a naturally beautiful skin. In order to clear the complexion and keeps it healthy, you can use this remedy. Take 50 ml. of raw (not boiled) milk and mix a pinch of salt and two teaspoonful of lime juice in it. Use it as a cleansing lotion. It helps to clean the deep pores of skin. Then, mix equal quantities of cucumber juice, rose water and lime juice. Wash the face and apply it overnight. Rinse off in the morning. If you have tried once, you will regret that you have just got to know it. Besides, mix equal quantities of lime juice, glycerin and rose water together to make the lotion which is very useful in removing pimples, blackheads and other stains of the skin. If applied to the face regularly at bed time, it makes the skin soft, and can also be applied to other parts of the body. Also, you can make a paste of raw carrots and apply it to the face. Wash it after one hour. The skin will become glowing. If you are a lady over 50, you can take 30 ml. of cabbage juice and mix one teaspoon of honey in it. This mixture, if applied regularly to the face, helps to keep the wrinkles away.

Natural Skincare Tips

In addition, I will share a few simple suggestions are all you need to care for your skin as you get older. These natural beauty tips can get you started. Research shows that smoking prematurely ages your skin. So if you smoke, it is time to stop. It is wise to say no to sunbathing and tanning salons. It is said that freckles, age spots, and blotchy complexions are linked to sun exposure. Stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when the sun's rays are the strongest. If you must be outside, wear a protective hat, long-sleeved shirt, and sunglasses. At the same time, use products with SPF 15 or higher, and both UVB and UVA protection. Damage to the skin from excess or unprotected sun exposure is known as "photoaging." These changes can include fine wrinkles and an uneven skin tone. You should check skin often for skin cancer. If there are changes that worry you, call your doctor right away. Older, fair-skinned people are at high risk, and must have a yearly check. Besides, try antiaging products. For women over 50, over-the-counter creams and lotions may enhance natural beauty by rejuvenating your skin. Pentapeptides, a chemical compound in many new products, may help prompt skin cells to produce more collagen, which is the support structure that gives skin a firmer look.

Reading skin care reviews can more or less get you through to some tough problems of skin care which confuse you at one time or another. This skin care list will focus on four top habits which may do great help for you to keep a fairly healthy skin.

Protect Your Skin From The Sun

How to protect yourself from the sun will be the first topic on the list of my skin care list. It is well known that intense rays from the sun will damages your skin, causing deep wrinkles, dry, rough skin, liver spots, and more serious disorders and skin tumors. For the most complete sun protection, first of all, make sure to avoid the sun during high-intensity hours. Reduce the time you spend outdoors during the hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m in which the sun's rays are most damaging. Next, wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with clothing, such as long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Then use sunscreen. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor greater than 15. Apply liberally 20 minutes before going outdoors.

No Smoking

Second in my skin care list is avoiding smoking. Smoking accelerates aging of your skin and increases wrinkles. Smoking causes narrowing of the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin. This decreases blood flow, depleting the skin of oxygen and nutrients, such as vitamin A, that are important to skin health. All of these factors increase damage to the elastic fibers and collagen, which give your skin strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking may contribute to wrinkles. It's also possible that repeated exposure to the heat from burning cigarettes may damage your facial skin over time.

Gentle Skin Wash

The third in taking care of your skin is to wash your skin gently. Use warm water and limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time to about 15 minutes or less, and use warm, rather than hot water. Strong soaps can leave your skin dry, so choose mild soaps or detergent substitutes with added oils and fats. If your skin is sensitive, avoid products containing perfumes or dyes. These can irritate your skin and may trigger an allergic response. Pat until it is dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on the skin. Immediately moisturize your skin with an oil or cream.

Moisturizers

Moisturize regularly is the last in the skin care list. Moisturizers help maintain your skin's natural moisture levels. If your skin feels tight, you should apply a moisturizer. Select a moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15 to help protect your skin from damaging ultraviolet rays. If you have sensitive skin, look for products free of heavy dyes, perfumes or other additives. If your skin is very dry, you may want to apply oil, such as baby oil, while your skin is still moist. Oil has more staying power than moisturizers do and prevents the evaporation of water from the surface of your skin. If your skin is oily, do not using moisturizing.

Your skin is your body's largest organ. It helps protect you against the environment and plays a major role in your appearance. But your busy lifestyle leaves little time for pampering skin care. As a result, your skin isn't the baby-soft body glove you were born with. What is even worse, as you age, your skin gradually becomes thinner and finely wrinkled. Oil-producing glands grow less active, leaving your skin drier. The number of blood vessels in your skin decreases, your skin becomes more fragile, and you lose your youthful color and glow. In order to avoid the changes dramatically, your skin needs regular care and attention in order to remain healthy and attractive. Skin care, from skin protection to proper shaving technique, will help you keep your skin youthful and healthy.

Proactiv Skin Care

Taking Care of Your Skin

Taking care of your skin — including proper cleaning, moisturizing, use of sunscreen and shaving which can surely help delay the natural aging process and prevent many skin problems such as acne, dry or rough skin, deep wrinkles, liver or brown spots, and skin cancer. These simple skin-care habits will help you protect your skin to keep it healthy and glowing for years to come.

Face Cleaning

Cleaning your face is the essential part of skin care for your complexion. Generally, wash your face once in the morning, once in the evening and after exercising or engaging in sports. If your skin is very dry and easily irritated, washing once a day may be not enough to remove sweat and oil from your skin. If your skin is oily or prone to blackheads or acne — and you live in a warm and humid environment — you may need to wash it more frequently than twice a day. Bearing in mind you should do as gentle as possible. Whatever your skin type is: oily, dry, balanced or combination, the key to cleaning is to treat your skin gently. If you suffer from acne, I highly recommend you to should use Proactiv Solution’s 3-step system.

Skin Care Step by Step

During the course of your skin care, specifically speaking, the first step is to remove eye makeup. Start with a soft sponge and some oil free moisturizing cream, avoiding damaging the delicate tissue around your eyes. If you wear heavy, waterproof makeup, you also may need to use an oil-based product such as petroleum jelly. Use lukewarm water. Avoid washing your face with very hot water, which can dry out your skin. In addition, avoid strong soaps which may be most capable of stripping oil from your skin, leaving your skin dry. A mild cleanser, such as Proactive Solution Renewing Cleanser would be a good choice. It will gently wash away excess oil and dirt. You should also avoid using products containing perfumes or dyes which can irritate your skin and may possibly trigger an allergic response. Try some Proactive products which can balance skin tone and remove dead skin cells to reveal the radiant skin beneath. Also, remember to use hands to wash your face, instead of using a washcloth, and wash your face gently using your fingers. The last step is to use a soft cotton towel to dry your face and rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

Our skin is the most visible reflection of what's going on in our bodies so that people equate healthy skin with beauty. A healthy skin is a source of pleasure, not only to its owner but also to the one who looks at it. However, with the ongoing changes in environment and our lifestyle, trying to have a good skin is getting more and more difficult. If you feel overwhelmed by the huge amount of skin care products available in the market and if you are troubled by your skin problems, the following skincare tips may give you more or less a hand.

Above all, you should know well your skin type, dry or oil and the condition of your skin. If you have the following conditions, it is hard for you to get a radiant and clear skin at its best, such as acne, cold sores, eczema and warts.let`s focus on the typical one, eczema. Eczema is a condition that causes skin to become red, itchy, and dry. If you are in this condition, you might notice that you are prone to getting itchy rashes, especially in places like your elbows, knees or on your neck and face. Though you can't cure eczema forever, you can take steps to prevent it from flaring. You had better stay away from things like harsh detergents, perfumed soaps, and heavily fragrance lotions that tend to trigger eczema. Take short, warm showers and baths, because water tends to dry out the skin. Additionally, soothe your skin with regular applications of a fragrance-free moisturizer to prevent itching and dryness. Be careful which fabrics you wear. Cotton is good because it's breathable and soft. Avoid wearing materials like wool or spandex that may cause irritation or allergic reactions. Finally, if you're having trouble managing your eczema by yourself, consult a dermatologist, who can suggest ways to better control it.

One of the biggest enemies of our skin is sun rays, which will lead to aging of the skin and even cancers. So how to protect our skin from being hurt by sun is also regarded as an essential tool to achieve beauty. In fighting with the harmful rays, you should first apply more sunscreen, with higher SPF, when you're around reflective surfaces like water, snow, or ice. We all know that the sun can damage skin, but it can contribute to eye problems, too. Protect your face and eyes with a hat and sunglasses that provide 100% UV protection. Mid-day sun due to its intensity can prove disastrous for the skin. Therefore, it would be wise to go outside before 10: 00 am and after 4 pm, when the rays of the sun are less intense. You had better wear thick cotton clothes to prevent harmful ultraviolet rays penetrating and harming the skin.

In all, healthy skin is about more than just good looks; it's essential to a normal life. So keep your skins glowing with the right skin care techniques and by eating well and getting lots of exercise.
