However, makeup can be applied in a natural and feminine way if used correctly and sparingly. In fact, the key thing to do a successful makeup is attempting to avoid mask-like look. It is easy to go heavy-handed on the concealer, and erase all character from your face. A natural face has shadows and imperfections, and the idea is to soften rather than eliminate completely. In other words, a small amount of concealer, judiciously applied, is better than a palette-load – especially around the eyes. Use a very fine formulation, sparingly. These days, there are so many different shades you should be able to find one that matches your skin exactly; the old “one shade lighter” rule is obsolete. If you use the right products, apply them lightly and blend them carefully, you can get makeup-artist results.

Step by Step To A Beautiful Face

Too often, this advice is being given but no one is hanging around to do the instructing. Painting your face so that it looks natural is actually quite an artistic gift that one needs to work long and hard at home. My secret to do a natural makeup is as follows:

The first step is to start with a clean, well moisturized face. Then apply a thin layer of your favorite foundation using a brush or sponge. If you don't need much coverage, just apply a very minimal amount of tinted moisturizer. Then, use a concealer lighter than your foundation, and apply it with a brush to the under-eye area Apply concealer very lightly and gently blend in with fingertips. Lightly apply translucent powder over your whole face to set base. Next, please use a cream eye shadow in a neutral color. Please smooth with fingertip over entire lid, making sure to get right along the lash line. Blend with an upward motion to ensure a smooth and natural finish. Apply a slightly darker shade of powder eye shadow to your under-eye area, but make it very light. Use a brush so you don't overdo it. Then to finish, apply a thick layer of your favorite mascara to top and bottom lashes. If you want to make your eyes look brighter and bigger, use a white eye pencil on the inside of the bottom lid. In addition, apply a dewy fresh cream blush in your favorite color. Lightly apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks. Blend the cheek color until a sun kissed glow is achieved. Last but not least, use a pink glossy finish on your lips. If you touch up your makeup every two hours, you'll stay fresh and glowing. All you need is your cream blush, lip gloss and translucent powder compact.
