The Benefits of Using Bath Oils
If you want to feel clean and refreshed, you should regularly take a bath or at least a shower. And “regular” means everyday, not three times a week, especially in summer when the weather is too hot. However, if you want to feel relaxed and calm, you should also add bath oils to your bathwater.
Usually, these oils are added when you are taking a bubble bath. It is very nice to feel the silky smoothness of oil in water and the relaxing aroma of these natural oils. You can add bath bombs, bath salts, and other bath essentials but bath oils are the most popular.
There are three different kinds of oils for taking a bath and they are the essential oils, cosmetic oils, and medicinal oils. The benefits of each type are outlined in the following list.
• Essential oils are usually a combination of two or more oils. The mixture usually has a very calming and soothing effect on your body. When you soak your body into the water with these oils, you will instantly feel relaxed and luxurious. You can use a few drops of these oils into your bathwater. Some examples of essential oils are rosewood, lavender, frankincense, and chamomile, to name a few. These usually smell nice but they do not have any medical or cosmetic benefits.
• If you want to have smoother and softer skin, what you need are cosmetic oils. You can use coconut and almond oils to make your skin smoother. You can also use peppermint or lemongrass to make you feel refreshed after taking a bath.
• If you want to treat some illnesses such as infections or common colds, you should add medicinal oils to your bathwater. Some examples of medicinal oils are eucalyptus and Indian margosa oils.
You can combine these three different kinds of oils to get better results.
